REFLECTION

I saw your reflection
In the window
As I stared into the night;
The sound of your voice
Soothed my wounded spirit.
I wonder if per chance
The one whose words
Appeased my soul
And touched my heart
Would one day
Heal my loneliness --
Ease this tormenting curiosity.
Sometimes
I stand in the window
Under the heat
Of the morning sun
Because the warmth
Reminds me of you
And I wonder,
Will I ever see
Your reflection again.
